Any-Occupation Coverage
Any-occupation policies have lower premiums, so they provide the least amount of coverage. You only receive monthly benefits if you’re unable to work in ANY occupation, so if you can’t perform your current job but can still provide consultative services in a hospital, you won’t be considered disabled under an any-occupation plan. While these policies may seem attractive due to their affordability, it’s important to carefully consider your specific needs and circumstances. If you’re a surgeon, for example, and want to make sure you’re protected in case you can no longer work in that field, it might be worth exploring other options.
